SIA Qualification for Door Supervisors
Duration: 4 Day Course
The training is delivered in two parts as follows:
Part 1 - Role and responsibilities of a door supervisor (Minimum of 14 hours - 2 Days)
* Introduction - To introduce door supervisors to the leisure and security industries. * Behavioural standards * Civil and criminal law relevant to door supervision * Search procedures * Arrest procedures * Drugs Awareness * Recording Incidents and Crime Scene Preservation * Licensing Law * Equal Opportunities and Discrimination * Health and Safety at Work * Emergency procedures
Part 2 - Practical scenario based training and assessment (Minimum of 14 hours - 2 Days)
* Introduction to communications skills and conflict management * Application of communication skills and conflict management
On completion of the training (Parts 1&2) all candidates must take a test under full examination conditions. The time allocated to EACH test is one hour.
Candidates must pass both Part 1 and Part 2 examinations to be eligible for a licence.
